Accompanied by a knowledgeable naturalist guide, walk through the forest and across suspension bridges that offer a unique perspective from above the rainforest canopy. Hanging Bridges Self-Guided Walk
Explore the rainforest at your own pace.
Discover the tropical rainforest of Sarapiquí on a self-guided walk through 3.2 km of trails and suspension bridges at Kapok — including a 390-meter (1,280 ft) main hanging bridge, one of the longest in Costa Rica.
Move from the forest floor toward the canopy on a clearly marked trail, stopping wherever you like to listen, photograph or watch for birds, monkeys and other wildlife. No group, no schedule — just you and the rainforest.

Hanging Bridges Night Walk — Nocturnal Wildlife of Sarapiquí
When darkness falls, the rainforest becomes a different forest.
Join a naturalist guide after sunset to explore the trails and suspension bridges of Kapok, when the rainforest of Sarapiquí wakes up to its night shift.
By flashlight you’ll search for red-eyed tree frogs, glass frogs, snakes, katydids, spiders and nocturnal birds, while your guide explains the adaptations that let these species thrive in the dark. The walk includes Kapok’s frog habitat, one of the best places to see and hear Costa Rica’s most iconic amphibians up close.

Unite a un guía naturalista después del atardecer para recorrer senderos y puentes colgantes de Kapok, cuando el bosque de Sarapiquí despierta su turno nocturno.
Con linterna buscarás ranas de ojos rojos, ranas de cristal, serpientes, saltamontes, arañas y aves nocturnas, mientras el guía explica las adaptaciones de estas especies. El recorrido incluye el hábitat de ranas de Kapok.
